Strip Miners can't be used anywhere: You need to find a "Rich Asteroid" and set it up within a 200m Range. Go to your miner when done, hit the "Enable" icons, select the resources to mine and sit back, relax. Mining takes averagly on 100% power with 1 Miner arround 3 days. Strip-Miner

The strip miner is a new tool released at the 28.3.17. It is a new mining system to mine new, huge asteroids. It comes along with a whole new Interface, which looks pretty complicated, but is easy.

Usage

The Strip Miner is a huge mining extractor. It takes an enormous space and is not recommended on normal ships. I do recommend building a small base which is hydrogen powered.

Strip Miners can't be used anywhere: You need to find a "Rich Asteroid" and set it up within a 2.5k Range. Go to your miner when done, hit the "Enable" icons, select the resources to mine and sit back, relax. Mining takes averagly on 100% power with 1 Miner around 3 days. Keep in mind: The storage of the miner is quite big, but it requires an emptying after ~15h.
